Louis Burgess

Awards/Competitions:
Winner – Sal Monello’s Comedy Gladiators - June 2013

“A singing comedian with spark… a cuddly kitten with sharp claws”

Musical comedian based in Southwest. Driver. Currently doing opening and middle 20’s

An extremely likeable and welcome addition to the UK comedy circuit, Louis burgess oozes innocent honesty. He has you wishing him well has he seemingly trips over his skilfully delivered set. Mothers want to look after him, girls want to take him home and guys want him round for a beer.

He awkwardly wears his guitar like a beginner, whilst performing like a winner. Laugh out loud doubled edged songs that keep you anxiously awaiting the next line. Woven between his delicately fumbled parodies is some choice gags delivered with wide eyed endearing charm.

Television/Radio:
Featured on The Alan Titchmarsh Show (ITV)

Press:

“Louis Burgess, local comedian from Newton Abbot, proved to be a great success of the evening with the whole audience being entirely engrossed with his unique comedy style. Burgess takes popular songs and modifies the lyrics to become comical parodies and performs them whilst accompanying himself on guitar. The upbeat Dandy Warhol song ‘Bohemian Like You’ was transformed into an entertaining account of a stalker. Louis is a lyrical genius and very enjoyable to watch. He is definitely a name to look out for.” – Exepose Exeter http://xmedia.ex.ac.uk/wp/wordpress/the-boat-that-laughed
