From his humble comedy beginnings as the promoter and sometimes drunken compere of a monthly comedy club in Aldershot some 9 years back, Ben Norris has become a regular headliner on the UK comedy circuit and has performed around the world in New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, South Africa, and the Isle of White.
As well as appearing in many big tents at festivals like Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, Ben has performed stand up on various TV shows including The Stand Up Show (BBC) Gas (CH4) and The Comedy Store (Paramount & CH5).
Back in 97/98 Ben hosted a weekly music and entertainment show on MTV where perhaps in retrospect his style was ill suited to the vast majority of the pre pubescent girl audience. (Eventually MTV decided to forge ahead without him.)
In 1998 he performed his first full solo Edinburgh show Sitting Room Only which most people agreed was quite good.
Other TV appearances where Ben has flashed his dimples include Singles night (BBC Choice),
100 Greatest childrens TV shows (CH4), They think it's all over (BBC1), Never mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2), and in 1977 for three and a half seconds in his cub uniform in the audience on Crackerjack.
More recently Ben has become a regular favorite audience warm up man for the likes of Jonathan Ross and Graham Norton and has written gags for Paul Kaye on BBC 2's Liar and Jimmy Carr for Your face or mine (E4).
